Interactive Gantt Chart module to work correctly it was necessary to add two ne fields to the 'Schedule' tab of the
Fields Matching table.
WBS Summary Tasks
If the imported Task data contains WBS Summary Tasks and 'Import WBS Library' is not selected then this is automatically selected when the Import button is clicked. On completion of Import the WBS Summary Tasks will be automatically rescheduled, unless the Import Method is not set to 'Create New Project' or the Filter is not set to 'No Filter', when the user will be asked if they wish to reschedule the summaries. This is because not all of the Tasks covered by a WBS Code may have been imported and the summary schedule will not reflect the Dates and Durations of the imported Tasks, which may or may not be desirable.
If an MPX file is being imported then the Summary Tasks which have been assigned a WBS Level/Code will be automatically designated WBS Summary Tasks and a relevant Task ID assigned. Summary Tasks with no WBS Level/Code will be rejected for import.
Resources
If 'Import Resource Data' is selected an additional
Fields Matching table is displayed for the
Resources.
As the Resource Types used by the Project Management file being imported may be limited or different from those used by ChainLink they may not be correctly converted during the extraction function. This table allows the user to change the allocated Resource Types to the appropriate six ChainLink Resource Types.
