Schedule Quality

On the Dashboard the Start and Finish Dangles and Critical Activity tables have been replaced by the Schedule Quality table which covers most of the DCMA 14-Point Assessment Criteria and shows the number and percentage of the Tasks for each criteria.

Interactive Gantt Chart

An Interactive Gantt Chart, similar to the Linear Chart can now be displayed, where non-summary, non-completed and non-completed parts of  Tasks can be repositioned along the time line, using the mouse, within the Time Now and Completion Date limits  Similarly, the Start and Finish of a Task and thus the  Duration can be changed.

Each Interactive Gantt Chart screen can only handle 500 Tasks, so for projects with more than this number of Tasks the Gantt Chart is divided into pages of 500. Each page can be selected individually from a pull down list on the Task Bar.

The Interactive Gantt Chart only shows the Tasks displayed on the Task Table, thus if a Chart Filter or Data Filter has been applied then excluded Tasks will not appear.

Import Enhancements

The Import module has been substantially improved to incorporate the new features of Release 6.

An additional two fields of Remaining Early Start and Remaining Late Start have been added to the 'Schedule'  tab of the Fields Matching  table.

The import module has now been modified to correctly handle WBS Summary Tasks giving the user greater control over importing this type of Task.

For MPX imports Summary Tasks which have been assigned a WBS Level/Code will be automatically converted to WBS Summary Tasks and a relevant Task ID assigned. Summary Tasks with no WBS Level/Code will be rejected for import.

If 'Import Resource Data' is selected an additional Fields Matching table is displayed for the Resources, which allows the user to change their Resource Types to the equivalent six ChainLink Resource Types.

Other Changes

The Help system is now only provided in GB and US English. As the Help system uses the users default browser, the pages can be translated into the local language using the browsers inbuilt translator.

Progress monitoring is now handled using a popup dialog instead of the Status Bar at the bottom of the screen.
