What's New - Release 1
1. The limit on the number of Predecessor or Successor Links that can be allocated to each Task has been removed.
2. The limit on the number of Resources that can be allocated to each Task has been removed.
3. The import of data from XER and MPX files has been improved, better translation of Task Type, WBS Summary Tasks and limits on numbers of Links removed.
4. Drag and Drop graphic files into the Tables, Chart Screens and other graphic data boxes.
5. New Selector windows for allocating
Bar Codes,
Colours, Links to
Tasks and
Resources, accessible from the popup Menus.
6. Colours can now be selected from the 100+ named Microsoft Windows system colours as well as the Personal and Project Libraries.
7. When using the Link from... or Link to... functions, as well as selecting an existing Task, a new Task can be selected and created as the link.
8. The
Task Logic screen, introduced in ChainLink 6, Release 16, has been vastly improved.
a. Scrolling forward or backward through the logic is now easier.
b. More of the Task and Link data can be amended.
c. Tasks can be added or deleted.
d. Predecessor and Successor Links can be added and deleted.
e. Links to a New Tasks can be created by using the Link Selector window.
9. As a result of the above items it is now possible to create the Logic Diagram from scratch using the Logic screen.
