System Settings

Font Name

A text field containing the name of the Font to be used by ChainLink for all system text. The name may be entered manually or clicking on the  button opens a Font dialog for selection, which also sets the Font Size.

Font Size

A numeric field containing the size of the Font to be used by ChainLink for all system text. It is recommended that a Font Size no smaller than 9 is used.

Decimal Point

A text field containing the character to be used for the decimal point.

1000's Separator

A text field containing the character to be used separate numbers greater than four digits if 'Show Thousand Separators' is ticked on the View Menu.

WBS Separator

A text field containing the character to be used to separate the levels of the WBS Code.

Day Indicator

A text field containing the character to be used to define the 'Day' element of the Duration, Total Float and Lead/Lag fields.

Hour Indicator

A text field containing the character to be used to define the 'Hour' element of the Duration, Total Float and Lead/Lag fields.

Minute Indicator

A text field containing the character to be used to define the 'Minute' element of the Duration, Total Float and Lead/Lag fields.

Float Calculation

Float Calculation - A pull-down list which allows the user to select one of the three methods of calculating the Total Float for each Task.

LS - ES - The Total Float is calculated as the difference between the Late Start Date (& Time) and the Early Start Date (& Time) in working Time Units based on the Calendar allocated to the Task.

LF - EF - The Total Float is calculated as the difference between the Late Finish Date (& Time) and the Early Finish Date (& Time) in working Time Units based on the Calendar allocated to the Task.

Smallest - The Total Float is calculated as smallest value of LS-ES and LF-EF.

Critical Float Value

A numeric field containing the  figure to be used by the Dashboard to determine Task criticality on the Short Term Program.

Safe Work Distance

A numeric field containing the number of 'location units' that define the safe working distance between Tasks. This field is used by the Conflicts Detector.
